Yenipazar is a district of Aydın province in the Aegean Region. It lies 8 kilometres inland from the İzmir–Denizli state highway. Having received no migrant settlers, it has preserved Aydın culture and is famous for its distinctive varieties of pide. The district stands at an altitude of 62 metres.
The settlement of Orthasia to the east of the district shows that the area was a very ancient centre of settlement. Evliya Çelebi visited the region in 1671. On 17 March 1957 Yenipazar was separated from Bozdoğan and made a separate district within Aydın province.
The market is a festival-style bazaar where delicacies such as gencer, macun, helva and gözleme are sold.
Most of the population makes its living from agriculture. Cotton, citrus fruit, olives, peppers, greenhouse vegetables and fruit, and livestock farming are the mainstays.
During the Republican period, Yenipazar was a nahiye (subdistrict) attached to Bozdağan until 1957. From 17 March 1957 it has been a separate district within Aydın province. Yenipazar was declared a Cittaslow (Slow City) on 24 June 2011. The ancient city of Orthosia was mentioned by Strabo as a city of Caria.
The Yörük Ali Efe House was built at the end of the 19th century and was damaged by fire in the 1980s. It was restored in 1995 and opened as a house museum.
